Are you looking for an entire vacation home with a pool? Here’s a recommendation in Tindaya:
Our apartments in El Cotillo are located in the immediate vicinity of the beach and the sea and, with 40 square meters (+ outdoor areas), are suitable for individual stays, couples and of course for families with up to three children (e.g. 2 children, 1 baby). Baby cot, baby equipment and baby chair are optionally available (transport and cleaning fee 20€). We give great importance to cleanliness and regular maintenance. The rental price includes bed linen and towels for the number of people booked, as well as all additional costs. Price depending on the season and length of occupancy from €89 plus €80 final cleaning for 1 – 2 adults. No costs for children and teenagers.
Sustainability
By 2026, our goal is to ensure that our guests leave the smallest carbon footprint possible. We have already implemented a variety of measures and add new ones every month:
- We reimburse up to €20 for carbon offsetting (flight) through Atmosfair* (https://www.atmosfair.de).
- We will install solar energy systems on the roofs of all apartments to generate 80% of our energy.
- We implement water-saving measures through awareness and the installation of low-consumption devices.
- We maintain and repair appliances for as long as possible to prolong their life.
- When purchasing, we use sustainable furniture and regularly restore it to ensure durability.
- Our paints, oils, and varnishes are made from organic and climate-friendly materials.
- We use eco-friendly cleaning products, detergents, and toilet paper.
- Our bed linens come from “local” production facilities.
- We avoid the use of disposable products.
- We recommend that our guests buy regional food directly from producers, preferably organic products, and we provide contact information for this.
- We also recommend buying regional drinking water products in glass bottles with a reusable deposit system (weekly delivery available).
- We engage with local authorities to improve sustainability in areas such as waste management and smoke-free beaches.
- We regularly conduct litter collection campaigns and encourage others to participate.
- We raise awareness among our guests about buying low-quality disposable products (e.g., beach furniture and toys) and offer a collection system for their reuse by others.
- We evaluate and recommend sustainable options in gastronomy and tourism-related activities.
- We recommend car rental companies with eco-friendly vehicle fleets and encourage reducing car rental usage when not absolutely necessary.
- We encourage longer stays and offer stays of fewer than 12 days only on the local market.
- All apartments are equipped with multilingual waste separation systems.
- We actively and financially support the “Clean Ocean Project” (https://cleanoceanproject.org) and “Limpiar Fuerteventura” (https://www.instagram.com/limpiaventura).
- All official correspondence has been moved to digital delivery.
- We conduct regular training and provide information for employees and suppliers on sustainability, resources, climate, and environmental protection.
- We are replacing windows with special thermal windows to avoid the use of air conditioning.
By mid-2025, we will replace printed information booklets in the apartments with a digital version, which guests can access via a QR code.
*Round-trip flights can be partially reimbursed upon presentation of proof.
Fuerteventura
Hike
UNESCO declared Fuerteventura a Biosphere Reserve in 2009 due to its impressive volcanic landscape and pristine beaches. The island boasts a fascinating geological diversity, ranging from towering mountain peaks to stunning crater landscapes. The Biosphere Reserve not only protects natural resources but also promotes sustainable development and the preservation of traditional culture. Visitors can experience the beauty and diversity of Fuerteventura in its purest form, whether through hikes across volcanic summits or relaxing walks along untouched beaches.
Culinary enjoyment
Between beach visits and island tours, a stop at local cheesemakers and restaurants is a must. In La Oliva, the gastronomic “meeting point” of Fuerteventura, local products are prepared in versatile ways. From the renowned goat cheeses to traditional bakery items and fresh regional meats, the diversity of the regional cuisine amazes with its aromas and flavors. The island also offers vegetarian and vegan options, as well as organic ingredients.
Surfing
Fuerteventura is a paradise for windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts, offering ideal conditions and waves up to 2 meters high. Surfers from all over the world come here to experience the challenging conditions and breathtaking scenery. The island is known for its expansive sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and a relaxed surf culture. Surf schools and rental stations make it easy for beginners to get started and encourage the progress of more advanced surfers. Fuerteventura is one of the top destinations worldwide for surfing, thanks to its spectacular nature, endless beaches, and perfect wind conditions.
La Oliva
Tindaya
For the indigenous people, a sacred place with magical powers. This is evidenced by the more than 300 carved feet found here, which hold great archaeological value. Exciting excursions from the village of Tindaya to the summit, traversing mysterious landscapes. The mountain is situated amidst a landscape that exudes tranquility and mystery.
El Cotillo
El Cotillo, the authentic coastal village, is located far from the hustle and bustle. In the alleys of the old port district of El Cotillo, fishermen meet individual tourists and wealthy Majorero locals. Here, you will find the most beautiful beaches. Simple and sophisticated gastronomy go hand in hand. Handicrafts and tapas bars characterize the old town. In August, the village comes alive with the start of the grand “Fiesta Virgen del Buen Viaje.”
Corralejo
Starting point for the “Parque Natural de Corralejo.” Ferry port to Lanzarote and the island of Los Lobos. It is a departure point for many excursions and the epicenter of nightlife. The city boasts a vibrant cuisine and an array of shopping opportunities, making it the northernmost city on the island. Here, you will find everything a tourist’s heart could desire. It is the perfect finishing touch for a successful, peaceful, adventurous, and highly relaxing vacation.
La Oliva
The district capital, La Oliva, with its approximately 1,200 inhabitants, is surrounded by large and beautiful olive trees, hence its name. In La Oliva, there are restaurants and shops, a hair salon, a pharmacy, and even a public swimming pool, as well as several public offices. On the outskirts of La Oliva, to the east, lies the “Casa de los Coroneles.” The fortress-like building impresses with its numerous windows and wooden balconies. The Cabrera Béthencourt family commissioned the construction, which also served as the headquarters of the island’s supreme commander until the 19th century.
Lajares
The two well-preserved windmills named “Molino” and “Molina” can be seen from afar. They house the School of Arts and Crafts, the “Canarian Craftsmanship School.” The school was inaugurated in 1950, where many women sold their embroidery, wicker baskets, or straw hats. There is a weekly craft market. It is an increasingly popular hotspot for surfers who come here to find accommodation, have fun in the bars, or stock up on new gear.
